**Drone Pilot - Field Application Specialist - Sales**

**Who we are:**

SmartDrone, founded by experienced executives in the commercial drone space is hiring. We focus on developing automatic aerial digitization solutions using LiDAR sensors and digital cameras. Data from our sensors is processed onboard to produce digitized models for various commercial and industrial uses. SmartDrone has entered the market with the first version of SmartDrone Discovery focusing on addressing the market for rapid data collection and generating topographic ground data for surveyors and civil engineers.

This position will be located in Austin, TX.

**About the Ideal Candidate:**

We are currently seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Field Application Specialist (Drone Pilot and Scanning Services) to oversee the ground and flight operations of our unmanned aircraft system in front of customers. You will be the company ambassador responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers and supporting the Companys long-term vision and culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Be responsible for all flight operations and data collection activities for customer demonstrations or in-field support.

* Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations, safety, company policies, and procedures.

* Travel to customer sites and perform flights.

* Process data in-field, at headquarters, or in the office for customers.

* Be the voice of customers and report to the respective teams of learnings in the field.

* First line of customer support in the field or in the office.

* Generate new business through cold-calling, warm lead nurturing, and be incentivized for winning and performing drone sales or services.

**Requirements:**

* US Work authorization.

* Current valid drivers license and means of transportation.

* Must be able to lift or pull up to 50 lbs.

* Must be able to physically walk to sites in rough terrain.

* Able to stand for long periods of time in various weather conditions.

* Possess your Remote Pilot Certificate (USA Part 107 license) is preferred.

* Experience in surveying or construction is preferred.

* Experience working with GIS and CAD is preferred.

* Industry-recognized certifications and/or training are preferred.
