We are a major producer of concrete and aggregates and produce concrete and asphalt road construction in the Midwest. We are an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action (AA) employer Position Overview: The Project Superintendent will oversee the planning, organization, and execution of construction projects. This is a full-time position that requires travel and overtime during peak season, reporting to the Paving Division Manager and having supervisory responsibility. Incentive(s): $1500 Sign-On Bonus Annual Clothing Stipend Annual Safety Incentive General Duties and Functions: Oversee the construction project from start to finish. Manage relationships with stakeholders and clients, teaching, coaching, and working with the team constructively. Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects. Be aware of and familiar with the Company Handbook. Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e., work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours). Additional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustive. Essential Duties and Functions: Ensure compliance with all project safety and environmental requirements. Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of construction projects related to highways, roads, and other related infrastructure. Manage and supervise personnel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, monitoring project progress, and coordinating with other departments and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of the project. Understand federal and state contract requirements. Be on-site to oversee and lead all construction processes/phasing. Understand project plans and specifications. Communicate professionally with the team, contractors, public officials, and owner representatives. Position Requirements: Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record Request, and drug test. Be adept with computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Minimum 5 years of experience. Strong leadership and communication skills, project management experience, familiarity with construction materials and methods, and a keen eye for detail. High level of reasoning abilities (i.e., meeting deadlines, prioritizing company and customer needs, serving as a leader to both peers and direct reports). Physical Requirements: Ability to reach below/at/above shoulders. Pushing/Pulling. Operate hand and foot controls. Simple/Firm grasping. Ability to lift/lower over 50 pounds.
