Oceanside’sWater Utilityis an innovative and forward-looking organization whose goal it is to ensure ongoing access to safe, affordable drinking waterand sanitary wastewater managementby maintaining top talent, resource resiliency, dependability, and system efficiency. The City’s Water & Wastewater Utility’s Engineering Divisionis responsible for overseeing capital infrastructure related to all aspects of water, sewer, and recycled water with a budget of approximately $75 million for fiscal year 2023/24. Many of theongoing capital projects lookto grow and modernizea civilinfrastructureportfolio thatleveragesnew technologies and adaptsto changing regulations, including an ongoing focus onbolsteringlocal water supply in the scarce Californiawaterenvironment.Another major ongoing project istheexcitingProgressive Design Build (PDB) which seeks to optimize flow within thewastewatersystem as a whole. Six

years

of

increasingly

responsible

civil

engineering

experience

including

two

years

of

supervisory

responsibility. Training :

Equivalent to a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or a related field. License/Certificate : A current, or ability to obtain, a valid, California driver’s license. Possession of registration as a Professional Engineer(PE)in the State of California.
