Our client has a need for a Transportation Analyst. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. **Transportation Analyst**
**Job Responsibilities**
Your specific duties as a Transportation Analyst will include:
* Compensation (Range): 24.50/ hour
* Management and transportation management to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products at the lowest cost.
* The Analyst is responsible for planning shipments in the transport management system and generate exception reports for multiple modes. The Analyst is expected to be a self-starter and accountable for meeting timelines.
* Implement an optimized inbound and outbound transportation network.
* Plan shipments and handle contingencies in transportation.
* Drive packaging improvements to improve truck utilization and implement processes to ensure part-packaging data (PFEP) is accurate.
* Develop standard reports to measure transit times with statistical analysis to ensure optimum planning parameters.
* Ensure supplier and carrier Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are evaluated every day/week and corrective actions implemented.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement projects (Kaizens) to drive cost savings, process and service level improvements.
* Ability to multitask operational tasks and project management to meet both short term & long term objectives
