The Mechanical Field Engineer is responsible for conducting calculations for sizing and specifying mechanical equipment, piping, ductwork, and HVAC systems within the Energy Industry. Responsibilities: Perform calculations for sizing and specifying mechanical equipment, piping, ductwork, and HVAC systems. Regularly conduct Field work to ensure project specifications are met. Create contract drawings and specifications. Reviewing equipment submittals and responding to contractor RFIs. Perform hydronic system pressure drop calculations and pump selections. Conduct heat and mass balance calculations. Edit piping, valve, and insulation specifications specific to each project. Perform duct static pressure drop calculations, fan sizing, and duct sizing. Conduct heating and cooling load calculations. Prepare specifications and technical reports with oversight from senior engineers. Support designers and assist in managing subcontractors. Interact with clients, convey project needs to engineering staff, and attend project meetings. Prepare weekly/monthly project reports. Manage RFIs and coordinate responses with engineers. Track work progression with bi-weekly schedule updates. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field experience. 4 yrs of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in Industrial or Energy markets. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.) Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel to customer sites on a regular basis. E.I.T. Certification preferred. M1
