About the Opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced Director, HR Operations to manage enterprise-wide operations of Human Capital Management Systems (HCM), Compliance, HR Process, Workflow Optimization, and HR Data. This leader will work with the greater leadership team to strategize, prioritize and execute initiatives to improve current functionality, build new capabilities, and automate HR operational processes to ensure that the organizational compliance and maximize its efficiency. This position functions as the lead super user on all facets and applications of the organization's HCM system and has deep working knowledge and technical expertise with a variety of HCM systems and implementations. Works heavily on HR process and operational configurations, reporting and dashboards development and forward-looking HR tech solution strategies. This position will also be well versed in multi-state new hire employment compliance practices. This Director role will lead and mentor others on the HR Operations and HR Compliance Teams. About the Role Manages the HCM technology platform and supports day-to-day HR systems and HR compliance operations teams. Executes the strategic and transactional workflow for the Hiring Compliance and Operations team, ensuring quality of work and timely completion of HR Operations, data and compliance related assignments and initiatives. Proactively direct HR and Compliance Operations projects, project risks/issues and implement effective mitigation plans. Identify opportunities for HR process optimization and automation. Develop and implement HR process optimization initiatives. Evaluate, implement, and optimize other HR technology solutions to streamline processes. Establish processes for reporting out on key HR metrics, data & analytics. Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, address challenges, and drive continuous improvement. Partner with HR Business Partners on the development of HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including analysis of new states/markets as needed. Oversee the HR Operations Team as well as the integrity of all employee data. Maintain awareness knowledge of current trends in HR technology and HR regulations, proactively taking initiative to innovate. Responsible for HR Reporting and KPI dashboard development in partnership with other functional departments. Serve as Human Resources process improvement advocate and lead initiatives to plan, execute, measure, and evaluate effectiveness and efficiencies of process improvement initiatives. Other responsibilities as assigned by management. About You The ideal candidate has the following qualifications: Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent skills and knowledge required, SHRM or HRCI certification preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR with at least 4 years of experience in roles focused on HCM systems, compliance, and operations. Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience overseeing HR systems and operations in an organization with a multi-state, high-volume hourly workforce. Demonstrated ability and experience in leading HCM system due diligence and implementation. Experience with process improvement and re-engineering methodologies and concepts. Proven track record of managing different HRIS systems and effective end-to-end employee data management practices, Paycom experience preferred. Demonstrated project management ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and team standards. Experience with HR reporting and analysis; advanced Microsoft Excel skills a must, experience with Google Suite required. Proficient in basic HR concepts, employment law, tools, and policies. Experience with multi-state licensing requirements in the education industry a plus.
