Job Summary:

Tri-County International Trucks Warren is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Parts Counterperson to join our team in Warren, Michigan. As a dealership for International Trucks, the Parts Counterperson will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining inventory control. This is a full-time, salaried position in the automotive industry, requiring strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills. The Parts Counterperson will be an individual contributor, responsible for providing parts and equipment to our internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

- Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email with finding and ordering the correct parts and equipment for their vehicles
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department, ensuring efficient organization and proper labeling of all parts and equipment
- Process incoming parts orders, verifying accuracy and ensuring timely delivery
- Track and manage inventory levels, conducting regular inventory counts and placing orders as needed
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or issues promptly
- Work closely with service technicians to ensure they have the necessary parts and equipment for completing repairs and services
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and promote new parts and equipment that may benefit our customers
- Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive trends, products, and technologies

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a parts department or similar role in the automotive industry
- Knowledgeable about automotive parts and equipment, with strong familiarity with International Trucks preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts, up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
