Mark W. Todd Architects is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Commercial Project Manager / Architect to work in our office in The Woodlands, Texas. This role will be responsible for leading projects, including all technical aspects, and participating in and overseeing the production of all deliverables of a fully integrated project. Job Overview Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Responsibilities Ability to communicate effectively in a team and collaborative environment. Coordinate directly with clients, project consultants, vendors, contractors, and local jurisdictions to develop full and coordinated construction documents and specifications. Assist in developing project budgets and schedules, including code and jurisdictional requirements. Responsibility for the development and coordination of drawings and specifications, and constructability with an understanding of related cost. Directly produce drawings, specifications, and carry out construction administration tasks. Actively participate and contribute to the financial performance of projects. Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with Project Manager. Proficient in construction administration processes. Participate in office culture and initiatives. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Architecture from an accredited school required. Registered Architect preferred. Actively on path to licensure required. 5+ years of related experience, including demonstrated success as a project manager / architect on a range of project types. Revit proficiency in design and construction documents for all phases of project delivery is required. AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Lumion working knowledge preferred. Knowledge of architectural principles/practices. Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures. Strong architectural and detailing skills. Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancy. Demonstrated ability to produce/coordinate high-quality construction documents. Ability to produce client presentation material as well as pricing and bidding packages. Ability to successfully lead/organize a team of multiple disciplines and consultants. Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development. Experience managing multiple consecutive projects in various stages. Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, with an ability to achieve goals.
