Behavior Interventionist

Position: Behavior Interventionist (ABA)Location: Albuquerque, NMReports to: Direct Clinical Supervisor (Board Certified Behavior Analyst Clinician)Pay: $17 - $21 hourlyMinimum Availability Requirement: Staff must be available at least three afternoons per week between the hours of 3-6:30 pm MT and preference is given to interns that are available to work with clients MWF or M-Th or Tues-Fri on a set schedule after school. Students will be required to work 12 months consecutively, through academic breaks (winter/summer) once hired from the training portion of the internship. Interns will be working with clients diagnosed with Autism in home, school and community based settings. We are currently seeking Registered Behavior Technicians, Behavior Technicians, Behavior Therapists,Special Education Instructional Assistants, Paraprofessionals, Nannies, Educational Assistants, and those who love to work with kids to join our growing team Be a part of providing 1:1 services with a student diagnosed with Autism and help them to reach their goals Make a positive impact and hone your teaching skills in home, center, school and community based environments.QualificationsMinimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalentCriminal Background Check ClearanceAccess to a reliable means of getting to and from work consistentlyThe ability to obtain a valid U.S. Driver's LicenseProof of Auto InsuranceSuccessful completion of the credentialing from BCI's contracting agencyRegistered Behavior Technician Credential Preferred (training provided if not credentialed)CPR Certification within 90 days of employmentAvailable at least 4 days a week: 4 consecutive weekdays Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri between the hours of 3 pm-7pmORM/W/F between the hours of 3 pm-7pm and 1 weekend dayEssential Duties:Communicate BCI's philosophy of positive behavioral practice, compassion and respect.Follow all policies and protocols set forth in the BCI employee handbook.Collect daily data as prescribed by your supervisor (BCBA).Complete clinical documentation to communicate with team members and insurance funders about progress on goals and any barriers.Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentationImplement the strategies outlined in the child's behavior plan.Contact your supervisor with any questions, comments, or concerns.Direct the child's caregivers and circle of support to your supervisor (BCBA) for any questions pertaining to the child's goals being addressed, progress being made, and strategies to employ.Maintain professional boundaries with the child, family, and circle of support per the BACB Professional and Ethical Code of ConductAll other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Discerning client vocal behavior is essential to one's ability to carry out specific ABA treatment protocols. Full auditory functioning is required to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this job.
