Southway Builders is seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing team. In this role you will support and assist the project management and field supervision teams as well as actively participate in the management and enforcement of Southway's Safety policy by identifying safety violations and authority for enforcing correction of same.

Your main activities will include:

Mission Assist and support the Project Manager and Superintendent with managing various types and sizes of construction projects through planning, organization, scheduling, budgeting and implementation.

Outcomes/Goals Prepare and maintain accurate Logs and Reports. ASI RFI Submittal Subcontractor/Vendor MBE Local Hiring Manage and control project plans and documents. Record Internal, Subcontractor and Owner Meeting Minutes. Demonstrate novice level understanding of Plans, Specs, Building Components and Basic Contracting. Review, annotate and process submittals as defined by the Project Manager. Actively participate in scope review meetings, including assisting in developing subcontractor and vendor scopes of work. Actively participate in safety orientation meetings and safety inspections. Actively participate in the development and maintenance of the Project Schedule. Actively participate in the Budget Analysis meetings. Actively participate in the punch list and project close out process. Actively participate in in safety walks and creates observations Key Competencies:
