Crane Nuclear is seeking to hire a skilled Welder at our Bolingbrook, IL. location

Principle Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and visually inspect all components and understand dimensions and design requirements prior to welding for compliance to work order specifications.
  • Weld MIG, TIG, FCAW, layout fit, and assemble machinery from specified prints to meet tolerances and quality standards.
  • Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques.
  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
  • Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness.
  • Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Operate CNC and manual machines as needed.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Must have minimal of high school education or GED
  • Certificate of completion from an accredited welding school.
  • At least 4 years of TIG, STICK, and MIG welding experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Machining knowledge is preferred.
  • Fabrication experience and the Ability to read blueprint drawings and interpret geometric tolerance is required.
  • Must have a strong commitment to meeting customer requirements and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Must be able to work independently while effectively communicating with manufacturing support areas.
  • Experience working in a Lean organization is a plus.

The Welder Machinist must perform all duties and work following the Crane Nuclear Inc. Quality Assurance Manual and Procedures. Standard hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm.
