A tech services company in New York is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Director of Operations.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Operations will:

  • Handle overall financial performance of the operations team, focusing on revenue recognition, cost management, working capital management, and cash flow objectives
  • Act as the principal safety agent for the site to ensure a safe work culture is maintained
  • Participate in the strategic planning for the organization, as it relates to the Production Operations and the implementation strategic goals and objectives
  • See that production budgets, schedules, and performance standards are realistically set and attained
  • Participate in the selection of and approval of, within budgetary and corporate guidelines, expenditures for capital equipment
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Production Operations teams
  • Partner with the Quality Leads at each site to ensure that the site quality cultures are solidly based on process controls and continuous improvement
  • Develop, administer and maintain continuous improvement and lean methodologies for areas under direct control
  • Plans and recommends investments to drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and process controls to ensure quality of all products
  • Oversee that the inventory management is consistent with sales, cash flow and financial goals
  • Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 10 years of applicable industry experience, including Manufacturing Operations
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or other related discipline
  • Experience with application of Lean Manufacturing techniques; Six Sigma; Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
Desired Skills:
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
