However, you will likely find yourself doing a wide variety of tasks each time you work. You might sell tickets, but still help a customer at the snack bar or land a hand cleaning an auditorium between shows.For part-time positions, we are happy to employ students, retirees, and those with full-time jobs. It is important during your interview that you let the manager know about any conflicts that may affect your availability. The theatre is open 365 days a year with holidays being some of our busiest times. While we work with everyone to make sure they have time with their families we also have to make sure the theatre is staffed. Employees receive great benefits, including discounted movies, popcorn, soda, and candyQualificationsAll applicants must be at least eighteen years old at the time of hire.We are looking for a server who will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to Guests. Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders, effectively communicating orders to kitchen staff, and ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected.To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired.Job Duties Include, but not limited to:Take food and drink orders from Guests accurately and with a positive attitude.Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.Engage with Guests in a friendly manner.Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.Collect payments from tables.Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.Help food preparation staff when necessary.
