Accounts Payable Clerk As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will serve as the primary point of contact for invoice management and vendor relations. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional with accounting experience and strong technical skills. Key responsibilities include entering invoices into the accounting system and scheduling payments, reconciling invoices and verifying documentation and approval prior to payment, and handling calls regarding past due invoices and vendor inquiries. You will correspond with vendors, set up new vendors, and maintain current vendor profiles, reconcile vendor statements, and research and correct discrepancies. You will also input permit account entries as needed, make bank deposits as directed, audit all expense reports for accuracy, process check requests and manage weekly check runs, audit, reconcile, and process credit card statements, match invoices to checks, obtain required signatures, and distribute checks. Additionally, you will assist with month-end close activities, including reconciling accounts payable accounts.
