Primary care coordinator of interdisciplinary patient care activities and responsible for the management of patients throughout their continuum of care at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Responsible and accountable for high quality patient care through implementation of the nursing process including assessment of patient needs (physical, psychosocial, educational), design of a collaborative plan of care, implementation of the plan with appropriate delegation of tasks, coordination of team effort, and evaluation of patient progress towards outcomes. Acts as a patient/family advocate, she/he seeks opportunities to communicate and coordinate patient care activities throughout the continuum in collaboration with other members of the Health Care Team.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

State the minimum education and/or training required.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • RN required. BSN preferred.
Minimum Experience:

State the minimum years of experience required to do this job successfully.
  • Completion of eighteen (18) months of St. Jude RN experience and documented core competences and skill sets with CAP peer review; OR five (5) years of internal St. Jude PON experience; OR ten (10) years of total RN experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:

List any licensure or certification REQUIRED and/or PREFERRED by federal or state law to do the job.
  • (LC: RN-TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.
  • (LC: RN-ARK or RN-MISS) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.


Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $31.50 - $55.00 per hour for the role of Pediatric Oncology Nurse II: IR.
