Meta is seeking a versatile Hardware Engineer to join our Compute Hardware team. Our mission is backed by a massive hardware infrastructure. Hardware Engineer Responsibilities

  • Work with local and remote teams and suppliers, to define product roadmap and program.
  • Specify, design, and develop CPU/GPU/ASIC based compute hardware solutions, and ASIC enabling hardware.
  • Lead the bring-up, validation, and launch of hardware systems.
  • Support hyper-scale deployment and obtain learning for next generation design.
  • Collaborate with open source hardware community to drive innovation for large scale infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering Degree, with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with development and bring-up of data center system equipment, or complex consumer devices.
  • 3+ years of experience with PCB design with both integrated and discrete circuits, and high-speed interfaces.
  • 3+ years of experience with end-to-end enabling, design, and deployment cycle of multiple generations of products
  • 3+ years of experience in working with Signal Integrity (SI) and Power (including interfacing with SMEs and shareholder groups) as a board owner in developing the PCBA's high speed interfaces, and power delivery subsystems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • M.S. in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
  • Experience with design and troubleshoot data buses used in server such as PCIe, CXL, DDR, SAS, SATA, I2C, and similar analysis and resolution of system hardware issues
  • Experience with using high speed scope, logic analyzer, and other validation methods in validating and troubleshooting server data bus (e.g. PCIe, SAS, SATA).
  • Experience with delivering a complete hardware enclosure with other cross functional teams in engineering, program, and operation
  • 3+ years of experience with server system architecture from one of the major CPU/GPU suppliers.
  • Experience with industry standard EDA tools for developing and reviewing PCB designs.
  • Knowledge of Linux for hardware validation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with thermal, mechanical, management firmware, system firmware, and software teams during product development.
  • Experience with designing ASIC verification & bring up hardware.
