MOCVD Engineer

Manage the epitaxial growth for the production and development of all laser and detector materials, including EMLs and DFBs. Ensure efficient, cost-effective operation of MOCVD reactors. Supervise the MOCVD growth technicians. Ensure adequate supply of epitaxial materials for laser product codes. Work closely with processing and device groups to ensure optimal materials are produced. Implement and maintain ISO-9000 quality standards. Ensure a safe working environment.

Responsibilities • Coordinate all materials growth and characterization activities for laser manufacturing and development • Continually improve the performance of the laser components • Ensure safe, cost-effective work environment • Provide technical support for MOCVD engineering and technicians • Work closely with Senior Managers and Director to determine production schedule and development projects • Provide documents and training for team members in compliance with ISO-9000 quality standard

ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Ensure sufficient supply of epitaxial materials for laser products • Improve yield of laser components through optimal materials • Maintain equipment properly and minimize downtime • Maintain safe working environment • Provide an efficient workplace that demands quality in production and allows for development of all employees

Qualifications • 5+ years experience in MOCVD crystal growth of III-V semiconductors lasers and other devices • B.S, M.S., or PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science or similar • Strong knowledge of materials growth and characterization techniques • Excellent communication skills • Strong team playe
