Via Roma in North Royalton is getting ready to open and looking for fine dining servers. Opening in the old Carrie Cerino's location on Ridge Road, Via Roma will deliver a fine dining experience with classic and upscale Italian cuisine in a beautifully remodeled location. Boasting a full-service restaurant, nightclub, and event center, there are many opportunities for eager Team Members.

Job description

As a server, you will be expected to deliver exceptional service in an elegant setting and treat our guests as if they were guests in your home. Strict adherence to service standards, dedicated menu knowledge, the ability to deliver a fine dining experience is a must. Servers will be expected to participate in a fun yet aggressive training program and to be tested on menu knowledge as well as the steps of service at Via Roma.

Service experience is a must and fine dining experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Daily cleaning duties as required by management
  • Completion of all side work before, during, and after the shift as required by management
  • Greet each customer when arriving at their table
  • Thank the customers when they are leaving
  • Presenting menus and helping customers select food/beverages
  • Taking/serving orders and answering questions or making product recommendations
  • Staying active and attentive to all guest's needs at all times
  • When a customer gets up and leaves the table, fold their napkin and put it on the chair before they return
Requirements
  • The ability to multi-task while maintaining a calm composure and a friendly demeanor
  • Utilizing good communication with fellow Team Members, management, and guests
  • Demonstrating a solid knowledge of all Via Roma and beverage items offered in the restaurant
  • Fluently and efficiently navigating the restaurant's point of sale system
  • Coming to work on time and with a positive attitude every shift
  • Demonstrating correct financial reporting and cash handling

Compensation:

$5.25/hr plus tips.

Hours of Operation:

Monday-Friday: 4pm-10pm

Saturday-Sunday: 10am-10pm
