Title: Hardware Engineer with AR/VR

Type: Full Time

Key Skills : Experience in Cadence APD, Experience in silicon packaging co design and workflow, bump map and ball map optimizations

Job description:

  • Perform package design for ARVR custom Si with single-chip/multi-chip and SiP/module packaging, design feasibility studies and analyses to ensure good manufacturing at ODM.
  • Participates early on Si/package/PCB/system co-design, incorporate latest technology advancements and design rules.
  • Work with internal Si, architecture and system teams and externally engaged partners, ODM, design houses and OSAT companies.
  • Perform design analysis and what-if scenarios for Client packaging schemes such as 2.5D/3D to improve package form factor for next generation versions of current products.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Are you looking for someone with a specific education, certification, or background?
  • Experience in Cadence APD or other package design tools.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering required, 5-7 years in the field outside of education.
  • Familiarity in advanced packaging technologies and processes. Experience in silicon packaging co design and workflow, bump map and ball map optimizations


Nice-to-have Skills:
•Familiarity with SI and PI and electrical requirements
•Knowledge of DFM checks and PCD and system level architecture

In-depth knowledge of flip chip, 2.5D and 3D packaging technologies

Experience in Cadence APD or other package design tools.

Experience in DFM checks, netlist connectivity, multi-chip modules.

Familiar with FA, reliability and packaging process.

Familiar with electrical and SIPI constraints of package.

Experience taking products from concept to production including development of manufacturing specifications, vendor qualifications and improvement of manufacturing efficiencies and costs

-Experience in silicon packaging co design and workflow, bump map and ball map optimizations

Effective communication skills

Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams
