Manufacturing Engineer Position Reports to: Engineering Manager or Machine Shop ManagerType: Full-Time Onsite Position SummaryFarrar Corporation is seeking a self-driven individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer at our Norwich, KS location. This position will work within our machine shops developing production processes and assisting in all engineering and production support tasks. You will be a leader in our machine shop providing support that enables us to supply high quality finished machined components to our customers. May 2024 graduates are encouraged to apply. Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing manufacturing processes for new productsDesign and produce work holding componentsProgram/Setup CNC machining equipment (lathes, 3 & 4 axis mills, 5 axis mill-turns)Work closely with engineering and production personnel to investigate and solve technical problemsAssist with and lead process improvements for production teamsDevelop setup and work instructionsResearch and implement new tools and manufacturing processesEducation/Experience:Hands on machining experience is requiredCNC Programming EducationBachelor of Science degree in one of the following is preferred but not required:Manufacturing EngineeringMechanical EngineeringManufacturing Engineering TechnologyRobotics/Mechatronics EngineeringIndustrial EngineeringEngineering TechnologyOther related fieldsQualificationsApplicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.Candidates must be able to work onsite.A basic knowledge of manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering principlesStrong understanding of CNC machining, programming, and fixture designExperience with Mastercam (Lathe, Mill, Multi-axis)3D CAD education or experience (SolidWorks preferred)Strong work ethic, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
