Our client is a leader in the manufacturing of highly engineered critical components for the Aerospace, Defense, Transportation, and industrial sectors is looking to add a Process Engineer to their team. This candidate will report to the Quality manager and is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. The candidate will analyze production methods, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimize waste in line with organizational goals and industry standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Process Design and Development: Design and develop manufacturing processes, workflows, and procedures to optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality.
•Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, such as reducing cycle times, minimizing waste, and enhancing product quality.
•Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Investigate production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations to diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
•Equipment Selection and Implementation: Select and implement appropriate machinery, tools, and equipment to support efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.
•Process Validation and Verification: Conduct validation studies and experiments to ensure that manufacturing processes meet regulatory requirements, quality standards, and customer specifications. •Documentation and Reporting: Document process changes, procedures, and specifications accurately. Generate reports, data analyses, and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders.
•Project Management: Manage projects related to process improvement, equipment upgrades, new product introductions, or capacity expansions from conception to implementation, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes.
•Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and guidance to production personnel on new processes, equipment, and procedures to ensure proper implementation and adherence to standards.
•Provide value to our customers by using Lean tools and concepts to identify and eliminate waste in all forms (scrap/rework, transportation, motion, waiting, inventory, over production, over processing, and under-utilization of people). Uses systemic thinking by seeing processes from end to end and works to challenge the status quo to eliminate the root cause of problems. Is involved in individual and/or team activities that involve using Lean tools and concepts to improve the flow of information and material. •Other duties as assigned.

Education:
A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, preferably; chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
Experience:
Prefer prior experience in manufacturing or a machine shop environment
•Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering principles, process design, and manufacturing methodologies.
•Problem Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop effective solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
•Attention to Detail: Requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in process documentation, data analysis, and implementation of process changes.
•Project Management: Basic project management skills to plan, organize, and execute process improvement projects, including setting goals, defining milestones, and managing resources effectively.
•Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and other stakeholders to implement process changes and drive continuous improvement.
