We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do.Key Responsibilities: Motivated Learner: Dynamic self-starter who wants to learn, through both on the job training as well as schooling, to operate precision machines.Operating NC and CNC: Working with experienced CNC Machinist, the apprentice will be trained to operate NC, CNC machine parts from .50 inch diameter to 50 inch diameter.Health and Safety Protocols: Responsible for Safety, Health, and Environment management and policy commitments as prescribed for this role in Weir's Duty of Care.Precision gear operations: Learn to operate precision gear cutter and grinders.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Required to be enrolling or currently enrolled in PMT program.Founded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
