Klassic Recruiting and National Merchants Association are partnering together to find a Card Settlement Analyst to join their team in Temecula, CA. The Card Settlement Analyst will provide quality support for the card settlement process to multiple departments through various responsibilities. Job Description Essential Functions Ensure proper posting of general ledger or DDA entries as a result of daily settlement Research and resolve monetary and non-monetary exceptions through the use of system generated reports and documented procedures Complete month end reconciliations for assigned general ledger and DDA accounts and present to manager for review Follow specifically designed team standards and procedures for task completion Understand the funds flow process for various 3rd Party Processors and Visa/MasterCard Prepare and send ACH transactions Assist with internal and external audit events by providing manager with pertinent settlement supporting documentation from daily tasks or monthly reconciliations Support department manager in the participation of special projects either driven by Card Settlement or where Card Settlement will need to be involved with various other internal or external business partners Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education Associate's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related area or equivalent experience Requirements Experience with third-party card processors such as TSYS, First Data, Global Payments, etc. Finance experience in banking or with a card processing ISO Minimum Knowledge and Skills Demonstrates understanding of Accounting practices, general ledger processing, and reconciliations Exhibits verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to function independently and perform research and analytical activities Displays time management and organization skills with the ability to efficiently prioritize work Knowledge of Microsoft products (emphasis on Excel and managing large amounts of data) Required Knowledge and Skills Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, macros) Travel No travel is expected for this position. This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Physical Demands This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
