Job Scope:

  • Position fillet & butt welds using the SMAW shielded metal arc process
  • Fuse inserts & weld carbon steel, stainless steel, & copper nickel pipe using the SMAW and GTAW gas tungsten arc welding processes
  • Mirror weld using the SMAW & GTAW processes
  • Heating oxygen/propane heaitng torch
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of Commercial/Naval Experience
  • Experience working in shipboard sub-assemblies, on ladders, staging, etc.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the positions using the SMAW and GTAW processes
  • Weld Test
