Summary: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for new design, certification and ongoing support of electrical systems for aircraft interior monuments. Must be able to work with an integrated product team and meet schedule and budget commitments.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; others may be assigned:Researches, develops, design, test and evaluate Design Printed BoardsDemonstrated ability to design digital and analog electronic circuits to meet functional requirementsAbility to specify analog circuit components to satisfy spec requirementsAbility to analyze digital circuit clocking and triggering issuesAbility to incorporate electronic circuit designs using FPGAsAbility to incorporate embedded microprocessors within an electronic system designAbility to assemble, debug, and adjust digital and analog circuit boards using electronic test equipmentEvaluate failed PCBs from incoming inspection, OEM and RTNTroubleshooting PCBsAbility to analyze power supply and filtering electronic designsAbility to design for, evaluate designs, and debug EMI protection issuesAbility to design electronic layouts for consideration of vibration, thermal control, and testabilityKnowledge of electric motor design, selection, and specificationsExperience in working on electronic equipment in an ESD-protected environmentAbility to draw circuit schematics, wire lists, and component layouts using ECAD toolsAbility to plan, conduct, analyze, and report on tests for qualification of electronic circuits per DO-160Create and evaluate Electric/Electronic test reportsEvaluates and resolves electronic design related production problems.May provide technical leadership and direction to small teamsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.§ This is a safety sensitive role, "Safety-sensitive" means any job that includes tasks or duties that the employer reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Hands-on experience in creating, debugging, or testing electronic circuits. Preferred skills (not required), DO-160 knowledge, Catia V5, SmarTeam, Vault, Inventor. AutoCAD is useful. Ability to work over desk for projects and communication with other personnel. Assisting with daily duties to retrieve files from lower cabinets. Ability to go up and down steps to go to meeting on second floor. Ability to grasp and carry manuals, folders, and other office equipment (staplers).Ability to work with employees throughout plant and parking lot.Employee may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
