By streamlining competing priorities and viewpoints, we aim to increase manufacturing capacity and technology adoption, boost the number of available suppliers and diversify investment into the defense industrial base. Position Description The Director of Compensation and Total Rewards will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role reports to the Vice President of People Operations and Leadership development and requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of compensation and total rewards best practices. Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive compensation and total rewards strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitive and comprehensive compensation packages. Design and manage salary structures, incentive plans, and other compensation programs. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits. Collaborate with People Operations, finance, and executive leadership to align compensation strategies with organizational goals. Provide guidance and support to managers and HR team members on compensation and benefits matters. Monitor trends and best practices in compensation and benefits to continuously improve programs and policies. Prepare and present reports on compensation and benefits metrics to senior leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation and total rewards management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. CCP. CEBS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification highly preferred. Strong knowledge of compensation and total rewards best practices and legal requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic compensation and benefits programs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership. Experience in a non-profit or government contracting environment is preferred. Proficiency in HRIS and compensation analysis tools.
