EDUCATION:

  • Previous material handling experience is a plus
ABOUT THE JOB

This position will perform essential routine tasks involving the replenishing and distributing of materials to the manufacturing floor and assisting with shipping and receiving as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of inventory handling processes
  • Knowledge of inventory cycle counting and physical inventory
  • Basic computer knowledge including ERP Systems, Microsoft Office, and label printing experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to count accurately by hand and with a calibrated scale
  • Team player and willingness to learn all job functions within the stockroom
  • Ability to maintain shelf-life materials and understand FIFO process
  • Ability to multi-task, follow instructions and adaptable to changes / improvements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive incoming materials from vendors and unpack delivery shipments
  • Compare packing slips and purchase orders to ensure accurate deliveries
  • Inspect and report any damages or discrepancies to appropriate personnel
  • Package products as needed to be shipped back out
  • Items for put away once quality has inspected and accepted materials
  • Bagging, labeling, and stocking of incoming materials
  • Fills material requisitions and shortages for production in a timely manner
  • Assist with cycle counts for accurate inventory and maintain location integrity at all times
  • Maintain expiration dates and FIFO throughout stockroom
  • Receive incoming materials from production into MRP system
  • Transfers product between inventory locations
  • Assist with monitoring chemical expiration dates in excel database
  • Other duties as assigned
