Our client is searching for a Corporate Controller to join their team. This individual will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with various regulatory requirements for the affiliated companies. This key position will also assist in providing support and guidance to the various accounting departments. Responsibilities:

  • Verify compliance in sales and use taxes across multiple states
  • Reconcile various GL accounts monthly
  • Maintain fixed asset accounting and reports
  • Assist in year-end reporting audits
  • Manage expense reimbursements and compliance with any IRS requirements
  • Assist with oversight and support of payroll, AP/AR, and billing personnel
  • Oversee payroll accounting
  • File annual reports and maintain compliance for the states affiliated companies are registered
  • Review and monitor AP/AR reports
  • Assist in any collections or lien filings as needed and project WIP reporting
  • Manage 1099, W-2, and ACA compliance/reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • At least five years of accounting management experience required
  • Proficient in GAAP requirements and financial statement preparation
  • Knowledgeable in filing multi-state returns
  • Expert in Excel and Microsoft Office products
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a confident and decisive professional
