Arizonas Family Sports is home to the states premier sports franchises, including the Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Phoenix Rising, and the Arizona Interscholastic Association high school state championships Job Summary/Description Were looking for a Multimedia Journalist who will generate, vet, and pitch multiple news stories in the Yuma, Arizona area. Once the story assignment is determined, the MMJ will develop, shoot, write, report, and edit video news stories from concept to finish. The MMJ will also be required to post web stories and recap story progress to the newsroom. Maintains contacts within the business community to report promptly on new or continuing events. The successful candidate will live and work in Yuma, Arizona, but stories will air statewide, including in Phoenix, AZ. Note: the primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the information listed above. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. 2-3 years of experience reporting at a commercial television station. Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess an advanced understanding of legal and ethical issues impacting journalism. Advanced knowledge of the locale, governing bodies, demographics, and public figures. Ability to perform quality work in high-pressure deadline situations. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess a valid Driver's License.
