Aqua-Chem Welder, Level I The Welder, Level I at Aqua-Chem is responsible for welding/assembling components and subassemblies in accordance with company standards. Working primarily in a manufacturing setting, successful candidate will work under the direction of a Manufacturing Supervisor. Schedule: (1st Shift) Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT may be required on Friday's 6:00am - 2:30pm) Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00/hr, Dependent on Experience Benefits: Group Medical, Dental Vision, 401(k) Match, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, and Paid Sick Time. +Employer Paid Benefits: STD, LTD, Life AD&D Essential Duties: Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard Move materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time Perform rigging, lifting, and moving of product using cranes, forklifts, metal carts etc. Participate in Continuous Improvement program Ability to read basic weldment drawings under the supervision of a more experienced welder Perform other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED Minimum of (1) one year welding in a manufacturing and/or similar environment and/or Combination Welder Diploma MIG and/or TIG experience Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surfaces and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders, and climb stairs Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding to the outside ambient temperatures Basic shop math and measurement skills Basic reading and interpretation of blueprints/drawings Able to work overtime as required Aqua-Chem provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
