Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems within multi-family residential properties. Proficiency with various piping materials and the ability to identify and resolve leaks are essential for success. Additionally, you will interpret blueprints, manage project materials, and carry out eco-friendly installations, while ensuring accurate documentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in multi-family residential properties.
- Work with a variety of piping materials, including copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, and PEX.
- Detect and repair leaks both internally and externally, including underground systems.
- Perform drain cleaning and address sewage backup issues.
- Interpret blueprints and job specifications for plumbing projects.
- Assess material needs and quantities for new projects and ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations in all plumbing tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and tasks performed.
- Repair, replace, or remove plumbing components as necessary.
- Install environmentally friendly plumbing fixtures, such as tankless water heaters and flow restrictors.
- Apply specialized techniques and equipment for tasks like welding and working with unique materials.
- Perform additional plumbing-related duties as needed.
- Experience in multi-family maintenance or similar field.
- Relevant certifications are a plus, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not mandatory.
- Must demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and strong teamwork abilities.
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Valid, up-to-date driver's license required.
- Personal vehicle and tools necessary.
- Material costs are covered.
- Gas expenses are reimbursed.
- Bi-weekly payments via direct bank transfer or CashApp for convenience.
