St. Joseph's parish in Hagerstown has an opening for a Housekeeper to assist Rectory residents. Eligible applicants will provide support to Rectory residents by creating a clean and orderly environment; shopping for household supplies; and providing laundry service. This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position. 3 to 4 hours per week.Essential Functions:Establish and adhere to a regular housekeeping schedule to ensure that all areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.Vacuuming all carpeted areas.Scrub and wax floors, wash windows, dust blinds.Scrub and disinfect all areas of the bathrooms and kitchen.Empty and properly dispose of trash.Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.Prepare a list of cleaning supplies; give the list to office manager for purchase.Help stock inventory shelves, ensure that standard use items are replenished as needed.Account for all inventory and equipment.Set up tables, chairs and other physical items for daytime, evening, and weekend functions as directed.Position Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent, required.Must possess a valid State driver's license with no more than 3 current points.Must possess the ability to: move, load and unload equipment and supplies weighing 35 pounds and heavier.Perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.Work independently without direct supervisionWork positively and effectively with others; respond to multiple demands respectfully; prioritize work and meet deadlines.Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for the privacy and property of Rectory residents.Knowledge of standard cleaning products, including disinfectants, and their proper use.
