Join Our Team as a Deputy Auditor in Olivet, SD
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Deputy Auditor for Hutchinson County in Olivet, SD. In this role, you will assist the Auditor in performing a variety of accounting and auditing tasks to ensure the financial integrity of the county.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
Conduct audits of county departments and programs
Verify and reconcile financial transactions
Process payroll for county employees
Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
Respond to inquiries from county officials and the public
Assist with Federal, State, County, City and School elections.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting or related field
Previous experience in accounting or auditing preferred
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
