Employees may also be eligible for Shift Premium.For more information about benefits, click here to download the comprehensive benefits summaryHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred0 to 1 year in carpentry or construction background preferredAbility to comprehend basic mathAbility to operate power tools in a safe mannerMust be able to follow repair processMust be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basisMust be able to use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 75 lbsCapable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)Able to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movementsImportant Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standardsOperate a pry bar to detach damaged boards from the palletsOperate a hammer, grinder and a saw to remove existing nails and use a 25 lb nail gun to nail together the componentsManually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a repair tablePallet must meet and pass CHEP's quality control auditMaintain a clean, neat, and orderly work areaConduct operations in a manner which promotes safetyComply with OSHA and MSDS StandardsMust wear all safety equipment while repairing palletsPerforms other duties as requiredRyder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
