Pharmaceutical Chemistry Intern

Job DescriptionAlkermes is seeking a summer intern for the Pharmaceutical Chemistry group in Waltham, MA. The candidate will support our drug development pipeline by conducting dissolution experiments in the laboratory. The role involves performing experiments, processing data, and documenting operating procedures. During this internship, the candidate will gain insights into the drug development process, enhance their laboratory skills, and develop expertise in data collection and presentation.ResponsibilitiesThe major responsibilities of the internship are: Conduct experiments and maintain a comprehensive electronic notebook Process collected data and provide weekly updates to manager Develop standard operating procedures for various types of experiments Create a final presentation to present to the department at the end of the internshipQualificationsBasic Qualifications: Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in chemistry or a related field, with a strong interest in the drug development process Hands-on experience in a chemistry lab required Proficient in data presentation using Microsoft Office software Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with an eagerness to learn.
