Position Title:

| Project Accountant /AR/AP Specialist
Position Brief:

| To optimize coordination of H. J. Highs field efforts among various project stakeholders (HJH personnel, client, vendors and designers). The Project Accountant / AR/AP Specialist is responsible for the orderly and timely management of project setup and administration, contract compliance, change order management, billing, collections, purchase orders, subcontracts, project cost control and reporting. The Project Accountant / AR/AP Specialist should endeavor to represent H. J. High in a most professional manner by producing quality work checked for accuracy and correctness.

Strategic Work:

Includes but is not limited to the following:
1.

Closely support the HJH project team members in managing project documentation and other tasks as required.
2.

Utilize the technology and software available in order to gain efficiencies in supporting the project team.
3.

Coordinate with vendors in assuring required information is received and processed in a timely manner
Tactical Work:
1.

Process weekly AP Check disbursements
2.

Receive and reconcile monthly subcontractor invoices
3.

Assist subcontractors and vendors with matters related to invoicing requirements
4.

Timely processing of subcontractor progress applications and change orders: applying to

PO/commitment/subcontract

and appropriate coding through Timberscan for approval processing.
5.

Reconcile and generate monthly project invoices to clients utilizing AIA schedule of values format
6.

Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients in matters related to account receivables.
7.

Perform account reconciliations to include monthly credit card transactions.
8.

Monitor job progress and review job cost reporting for completeness and correctness and resolve discrepancies.

Software Proficiencies:

| Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) (accounting software) Procore (project management platform) Bluebeam Revu (PDF editor) MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint.

Additional Qualifications:

| Three years minimum experience in the construction industry, preferably with Commercial General Contractor Experience using Sage 300 highly desirable Strong time-management skills Exceptional organizational skills Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally Natural initiative to identify and address items needing attention Accounting degree is preferred.
