Overview Join a Global Leader in Aviation Security ACTS-Aviation Security Inc. has an immediate opening for a Security Agent at the O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, IL. ACTS-Aviation Security Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of ICTS Europe and specializes in security solutions for the aviation market, including catering, aircraft and cargo screening. ACTS operates with corporate offices in Chicago and Atlanta and maintains operational centers at more than 30 airports across the United States. ACTS offers opportunities for advancement in aviation security. Responsibilities Must be willing to work in cold temperatures, as required for the role. Inspect airline equipment and check for unauthorized items. Screen cargo using equipment/method designated by the customer and according to customer specifications. Perform aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding and gate guarding per customer specifications. Observe and monitor unit activity and facility surroundings when not performing inspection/validation duties. Perform all other duties as assigned by management. Report to Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager (size of unit dependent). Activities overseen by Lead or Senior Lead (size of unit dependent). Shifts and Compensation Morning & Afternoon shifts available. Current Wage Rate: 19.50 1st Year of Service: 19.80 2nd Year of Service: 20.10 3rd Year of Service: 20.90 4th Year of Service: 21.32 Benefits Two weeks of vacation annually, accrued per pay period. Three floating holidays, accrued on January 1, April 1 and July 1 each year. Five personal days, accrued on January 1st of each year. Retirement benefits including 401K and Roth programs with up to 4% employer match. Subsidized health, dental and vision insurance after sixty days of service. Free basic life insurance of $10,000. Employee-paid supplemental life and disability insurance options. Employee Assistance Program through MetLife. Employee Discount Program through Perkspot. Requirements High school diploma or GED. New employees must complete an FBI fingerprint check (SIDA Badge) and a confirmed 10-year background check (10 year listed; 5 year verified). Not have been convicted of FAA disqualifying crimes. Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly. Must be at least 18 years old. Hold a valid U.S. drivers license. Pre-employment and Other Information ACTS Aviation Security Inc. will deduct $25 from the first two checks for a SIDA badge deposit. Upon termination, this amount is reimbursed upon return of the SIDA badge. US citizenship is required for certain services.
