Please review the following job description:

Facilitate the administration of Truist's Community Reinvestment Act ("CRA") compliance and performance framework, including examination preparations. Oversee execution of applicable laws and regulations are met through creation and review of policies, procedures, and training materials to ensure business units meet and maintain compliance requirements. Provide CRA regulatory interpretation within the department and to other business unit leadership.

Position is 4 days office centric role that can be located in either of the Truist regional offices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Maintain superior knowledge of current CRA laws and regulations, pending updates to applicable law and industry trends.

2. Serve as a Truist CRA subject matter expert (SME) for the interpretation and activation of the Act and implementing regulations.

3. Serve as the lead coordinator on all CRA internal and external exams to ensure information receives appropriate review, in alignment with data requests, and provided timely.

4. Provide leadership to the CRA/ Community Development Department for the formal assessment of community needs and corresponding qualitative assessment of Community Development activities through coordination and preparation of the Self-Assessment and Performance Context documents

5. Drive Truist Community Development leadership and responsiveness by monitoring and guiding execution of corporate, regional, and state programs.

6. Review and perform quality control testing on Community Development activities, flagging and enhancing those which are qualitative in nature, to be escalated to regulators during CRA Exams.

7. Partner with all CRA/ Community Development verticals to enhance reporting and communication to business units regarding CRA performance progress to goal.

8. Enhance and maintain CRA data qualification guidelines/job aides and related training framework for CRA/CD and other Truist teammates, as applicable.

9. Oversee Truist CRA policies, standards, and procedures to assure comprehensive adherence to corporate standards and regulatory requirements.

10. Assist with special projects, as needed, such as merger integration and CRA Compliance exams.

11. Manage a complex workload that includes multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in business or comparable field

2. 7 years of financial institution experience in compliance, audit or legal; risk management, and/or regulatory affairs.

3. Thorough knowledge of consumer compliance laws and regulations, with emphasis on CRA

4. Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically

5. Can facilitate and manage interactions with the ability to communicate concepts to teammates and senior leaders and examiners Self-starter and independent thinker

6. High degree of independent judgement and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Project management, strong organization skills, attention to details and ability to manage assignments with limited oversight from manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Completion of the American Bankers Association's Compliance School or Compliance certification

2. Ability to manage implementation of regulatory requirements with bank divisions.

3. Experience with CRA compliance software

4. Understanding of available technology to assess impact on CRA.

5. Ability to distill and simplify complex information
