Under general direction from the Director of Accounting, the Senior Accountant II prepares complex general ledger entries and account reconciliations. A successful applicant will have high-level knowledge of the application of accounting principles and accounting software, an above average understanding of the interrelationships among accounting/operations functions, and the ability to review processes and recommend improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze financial information from various sources to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, and document business transactions
  • End-to-end process ownership to support finance and the business partners.
  • Manage fixed asset and intangible asset ledgers including roll-forward schedules
  • Ability to identify and drive process improvement opportunities to drive positive change and automation across the organization.
  • Lead accounting projects and tasks across the business.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and perform variance analysis for multiple entities
  • Maintain an internally focused client centered mentality and passion for customer service
  • Assist in developing, automating, and maintaining monthly intercompany expense allocations
  • Investigate unusual transactions and/or fluctuations and determine appropriate accounting treatment for income statement and balance sheet assignments.
  • Support fiscal year end audit and other ad hoc projects as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required for this position
  • 7+ years of experience with GL accounting
  • CPA license preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with major ERP systems (Oracle Fusion Cloud preferred)
  • Aptitude for problem solving and ability to make analytically sound, independent judgments within department/company guidelines.
  • Advanced Excel and data management skills including pivot tables and V-lookups
  • Experience with accounting for foreign subsidiaries and ASC 830 guidelines
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with all internal and external contacts from various disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Oriented towards efficiency through the reduction of manual processes

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be $45.67 to $62.50 hourly, which equates to $95,000 to $130,000 annually.

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your managers discretion.
