Senior Environmental/Civil Engineer

must be flexible, client-focused, and capable of working independently, while supporting a team that includes engineers, scientists, and field personnel. The work required is diverse and ranges from coordination of field inspection during construction and soil/groundwater sampling to technical work that requires strong communication skills and knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, and/or ArcGIS, Bentley software products is required. Current OSHA 40-hr certification and/or other applicable certification is preferred. Responsibilities

Assigns tasks to engineers, scientists, technicians or administrative staff. Interaction with the client in the field, at meetings, and on conference calls. Plans and coordinates aspects of work. Prepares and manages scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments. Assists with proposals to provide professional services. Work with design team across multiple offices and multiple disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans. Meet client deadlines and project budgets. Meets project, client, and regulatory deadlines. Works in a timely fashion to meet project budgets. Required Skills & Experience

BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field. Minimum 15 years of experience. PE (NJ, NY, PA) preferred. OSHA 40-hr certification. Supports Practice Leads and Management. Meets project, client, and regulatory deadlines. Works in a timely fashion to meet project budgets. Working knowledge of NJDEP, NYSDEC, NYCDEP, and/or PADEP requirements a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Communicates effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff. Composes technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication. Handles multiple concurrent projects. Responsible for field sampling and contractor oversight at locations in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Responsible for preparation of construction plans and specs, and supporting calculations/analysis in collaboration with survey data. Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, and GIS software. Knowledge/experience with PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD. Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, bridge scour analysis, stormwater management, roadway drainage design for transportation-related projects is strongly desirable. Experience with 2D hydraulic modeling desired. Proficiency with basic MS Office software. Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.
