This includes taking patient history and performance of a focused physical examination.Technical competence in all procedures performed within the vascular laboratory shall be demonstrated including cerebrovascular, venous and arterial extremity, renal, mesenteric, and abdominal arterial and venous duplex examinations. This requires a comprehensive knowledge of ultrasound physics, hemodynamic principles, and vascular as well as non-vascular anatomy and physiology.
