Job Summary:

The Water Resources Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing various water resources projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget and on schedule. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of sustainable water management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage water resources projects from conception to completion, including planning, design, implementation, and evaluation phases.
  • Technical Design: Develop and review technical designs for water infrastructure projects, such as stormwater management systems, flood control structures, water supply systems, and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Hydrological Analysis: Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses using appropriate software tools to assess water resource availability, flood risk, and drainage requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure project compliance with relevant environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards.
  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for proposed projects, monitor expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in water resources engineering, including project management and design.
  • Strong understanding of water resource management principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying current with emerging trends and technologies in water resources engineering.
