Summary
The General Accountant is responsible for supporting the Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance department. The General Accountant prepares balance sheets and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Supports Product Data Management. Offers suggestions about resource utilization and assumptions underlying forecasts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Performs standard general ledger accounting functions
•Prepares journal entries
•Supports month-end and year-end close processes.
•Prepares and reconciles capital expenditures
•Analyze work order variances and make inventory adjustments
•Update JDE based on material transaction sheets from production
•Coordinate and maintain daily inventory cycle counts
•Responsible for maintaining Fixed Assets, Depreciation and Construction in Process (CIP)
•Complete all monthly journal entries related to Inventory, Cost of Sales and CIP accounts
•Maintains fixed asset records
•Assist with month-end close reporting and corporate requirements
•Assists with audit preparations
•Prepares various financial analyses as required
•Works closely with Supply Chain team to maintain accurate inventory counts
•Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
-This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

-3-5 years of previous accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment

-Must have experience with accounts payable and ERP systems and some familiarity with inventory management and cost accounting.

-Previous experience working with JDE is a plus.

•Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal.
•Ability to work in a team environment.
•Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities.
•Must have advanced attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
•Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
•Previous experience in exercising independent judgment and problem-solving skills to address questions or issues effectively.
•Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
•Should have ERP experience and an understanding of how an ERP system works.
•Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Salary range: $90-95k based on experience

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Equipment Used
This position is located in the administrative offices of a manufacturing facility which requires prolonged sitting, standing, and walking. Requires manual dexterity for typing and considerable time at a computer. This position will spend about 10 to 20% of their time on the production floor where heavy machinery is present and loud sounds exist.

•Must wear appropriate PPE for all work activities performed; varies based on work
