Overview:

The Office Voice Engineer position ensures the credit union's voice and video collaboration systems are
stable and healthy. This position plans, designs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots an integrated
communications solution based on the Microsoft Office suite. This position translates business
requirements into technical architecture and designs for communication solutions. This position will
ensure system security and uptime are optimally designed and implemented and takes responsibility for
enhancements, migrations, and upgrades.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:


1. What youll do:


a. Collaborate with telephony providers and third-party vendors to enable advanced services in
Microsoft Teams.
b. Deploy and configure Microsoft Teams voice with PSTN connectivity through Direct
Routing, Operator Connect, and Teams Calling Plans.
c. Ensure all systems are fully patched, securely configured, and compliant with industry
standards and corporate configuration baseline.
d. Automate routine and repeatable processes.
e. Manages Teams-certified devices, audio/video conferencing, and voice migrations, while
mentoring end-user-support staff.
f. Configure and maintain SIP services for adjunct systems and services.


2. What youll oversee:


a. Day-to-day administration and support of Microsoft Office voice services and connectivity in
production and test networks.


3. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.


a. Coordination within the team, department, division, and credit union overall.
b. Assists with other IT functions within AFCU as needed.
c. Effective resiliency and disaster recovery plans are being made and tested.
d. Stays informed of changes in computer technology.
e. Keeps work area clean, secure, and well-maintained.
f. Completes special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Training/Education/Certification:


Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer certification preferred
Computer Science or Information Technology degree preferred.


Required Knowledge:


Microsoft O365 Administration preferred.
Experience Required:
5 years experience managing voice gateways, protocols, and services in a production
environment
SIP trunk, gateways, SBCs, and system migration
Dial-plan design and administration
PSTN technology, methodology, and integration experience required
E-911 administration

Skills/Abilities:

Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and designs for
communication solutions without direction or assistance.
Excellent written and oral communication.
