TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Job Specialty: Pediatrics Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM (3 x 12-hour shifts) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have: Pediatrics, ICU, RN, Patient Care Job Description: - Provide comprehensive nursing care in a hospital setting for patients with a range of health issues from simple to complex. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients. - Assist physicians in examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. - Obtain and monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary. - Administer prescribed medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care competently while interacting with family and patients, sharing the care plan during the hospital stay and at discharge. - Inform patients and their families of hospital procedures. - Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel as necessary and delegate tasks to support staff. - Perform other duties as assigned. Skills & Experience: - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. - Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. - Respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. - Basic computer skills.
