In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of creating and executing state-of-the-art Avionics and Electrical Systems. Your responsibilities will span across Harnessing, Battery and Power Systems, Sensors, Mechanisms, Navigation, Safety Systems, and Flight Computers, all within demanding timelines.

You'll be instrumental in driving the hands-on Implementation phase, collaborating closely with the team to understand customer requirements and seamlessly integrate them into Vehicle and Architecture Design.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, construction, and testing of avionics systems.
  • Accelerate execution and iteration efforts to swiftly deploy hardware into orbit.
  • Cultivate technical excellence and foster ownership within the Avionics engineering team by mentoring new members and setting high standards for results delivery.
  • Design avionics systems aligned with company and mission objectives, offering new capabilities for the in-space economy.
  • Navigate requirements by deeply understanding company and mission goals, providing alternative solutions.
  • Execute test plans aligned with mission risk posture and take ownership of test campaign outcomes.
  • Conduct design reviews, test readiness reviews, and flight readiness reviews with a focus on technical excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
  • 3+ years of experience designing complex electrical and/or control systems for harsh environments (autonomous vehicles, drones, spacecraft, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in direction amidst changing circumstances.
  • Proven track record of delivering innovative, high-quality technical products.
  • Experience managing analysis products and incorporating feedback into design.
