Job Description: AI Engineer/Architect

Location: Charlotte, NC

Rate: $55-60/hr (W-2, No C2C)

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with a focus on AI and ML to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in AI/ML development, cloud services, and data science, combined with strong DevOps skills. This role will involve collaborating with senior architects and delivery partners to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution across business lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture Design: Collaborate with data scientists and AI professionals to define and design feasible AI use cases and architecture for the AI platform.

Deployment Models: Select and recommend appropriate deployment models (cloud, on-premises, or hybrid) and ensure seamless integration with existing data management and analytics tools.

Requirements Analysis: Work closely with business and delivery partners to understand and translate future requirements into architectural solutions.

Technology Evaluation: Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to support architecture, driving architectural roadmaps and innovation.

Risk Management: Partner with security and risk leaders to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Standards Compliance: Review and ensure that solutions and projects adhere to data and analytics standard methodologies.

Top Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: 8 years of AI/ML development experience.

Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with AI/ML implementations in AWS Cloud services.

Data Science Tools: Proficiency in advanced analytics tools such as SAS, R, and Python.

DevOps Skills: Knowledge of DevOps workflows and tools including Git, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

Communication: Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset, self-starter attitude, and ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field.

AI Architecture: Experience with AI architecture, including data management, governance, model building, and deployment.

Nice to Have:

APIs: Experience with APIs, Apigee, Developer Portals, and technologies like JSON and RESTful services.

Containers: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, Nexus, and software-defined networking.
