Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Lead under the direction of the Cath Lab Manager is responsible for performing the daily operations for the Cardiac Cath Lab. The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Lead is responsible for direct and indirect patient care, scrubbing for coronary and peripheral diagnostic/interventional cases and hemodynamic monitoring. Other departmental duties as assigned, such as: working with supply chain ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, cost efficiency, radiation safety, providing appropriate information towards future needs and actively supports process improvement within the Cath Lab Department. Assures staff maintains knowledge of all equipment and new equipment in the lab. Maintains an active marketing profile for the facility and physicians. Maintain professional standards and seek professional growth. Providing care to patients ranging from adolescence, adult to geriatric, utilizing in accordance with the medical staff and within the organizational structure, philosophy and goals and objectives of the Cath Lab Department and St. Davids North Austin Medical Center.

You will scrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures

You will monitor and document procedure in the hemodynamic system

You will educate patients and family members regarding the technical aspects of the procedure

You will assist in ordering supplies/maintaining inventory

Job Requirements

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of Cath Lab experience

Education

High School Diploma Required

Licenses and Certifications

BLS Certification as per St. Davids Healthcare policy

ACLS Certification as per St. Davids Healthcare policy Required within 6 months

RCIS, or RCES, or RT ( R ) license from an accrediting body Required within 12 months
