Description

Reporting to the VP of HR, the Human Resources Generalist will execute policies, systems, and processes to support employees. This position will identify, develop, implement, and evaluate key HR initiatives across multiple platforms that align with the corporate HR strategy and corporate goals. This is a highly collaborative position that partners with other team members and business leaders across the company.

Requirements

  • Oversee the day-to-day Human Resource activities in the facility, including policies, compensation, benefits, employee records, employee services, talent acquisition, and training.
  • Develop and implement local HR policies that align with the HR strategy and company values and support local standards; interpret and provide advice on HR policies to employees and business leaders
  • Maintain employee records to ensure they are up-to-date and easily accessible as and when required by pertinent stakeholders
  • Audit the employee handbook, as well as other policies and procedures, and make recommendations to ensure compliance while supporting business goals and strategies
  • Work with teams and leaders to solve employee relations issues, including providing support during conflict resolution and investigations
  • Recruit local talent and ensure candidate compliance practices are in place
  • Onboard new employees at the facility, including I-9 completion
  • Deploy and track training events
  • Maintain current knowledge of HR trends and knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance; make recommendations for new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Evaluate and maintain relationships with local staffing agencies
  • Be knowledgeable of community and workforce, including competitors and compensation
  • Foster strong community collaboration efforts to represent the company at events and job fairs and foster relationships with local businesses and schools to meet hiring and training needs
  • Analyze and develop retention strategies and collaborate with leadership on hiring forecasts and trends
  • Answer non-routine requests for information on policy interpretation
  • Collaborate closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • Recommend, evaluate and participate in staff development
  • Present training sessions related to assigned program or section area to new and existing employees
  • Manage HR processes from end to end, while maintaining engagement, confidentiality and a 'can-do' attitude towards organizational goals

Position Qualifications (Minimum):
  • 3+ years in a professional HR-related position
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Hands-on experience with core HR policies and compliance Intermediate/Advanced experience in Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including talent acquisition, onboarding, terminations, employee relations, performance management, and respective employment laws

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
