As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the CFO will embody ourcompany's values and lead by example, inspiring and guiding teams towardsachieving our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proventrack record of success in professional services organizations and possess theability to innovate and lead in a competitive environment. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Strategic Partnership; Develop and provide insight on key financial strategic decisions to maximizefirm value.Drive innovation and investment to keep the company competitive and at theforefront of service delivery.Build and support a high-performing accounting and finance team focused onaccountability and professional growth.Focus on maintaining robust financial operations to ensure foundationalstability and facilitate strategic profitable growth.Understand debt and equity models and government regulations critical topositioning the business for successful operations and funding growth.Manage employee stock transactions, profit-sharing & stock plan,including forecasting, FP&A, regulatory compliance, performanceevaluation and long-term planning. Financial Planning and Analysis; Excel in FP&A and project cost accounting, enhancing financial processesacross all company functions.Cultivate partnerships company-wide to improve financial literacy and acumenamong business leaders.Oversee annual planning and rolling forecast processes to ensure alignmentwith financial objectives.Direct the Accounting and Finance Department in activities such as cashmanagement, tax analysis, and financial reporting.Recommend profit-improving actionsto managers and senior leadership. Business and Revenue Growth; Assess services and geographies to determine key moves essential topositioning the company for profitability and expansion, including officeleases.Drive project cost control policies and procedures and identify business risksand opportunities.Establish banking relationships and credit arrangements to help finance thegrowth of the firm.Perform financial evaluations on prospective business opportunities andnegotiate strategic alliances,partnerships and acquisitions. Controls, Audit and Tax Reporting Functions; Develop and maintain systems for internal controls and accurate reporting ofoperations.Oversee the preparation and filing of all required tax returns and reports andrespond to audits.Overseethepreparationandfilingofallrequiredlocal,stateandfederaltaxreturnsand annual reports.Respondtoallgovernment,clientandoutsideaudits. In addition, the CFO is a people leader who isresponsible for the overalldirection, coordination, and evaluation of the Finance and AccountingDepartment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required. MBA preferred.Certified Public Accountant (CPA)is highly desirable.Minimum 10 years of Accounting & Finance experience, preferably in theengineering/architectural field or professional services firm acting asController or CFO.Supervisory/people leadership experience required.
